Literature Text

The sun lowers and my sky becomes an amalgam of golden and blue. The air is chill inside and out; there is a stillness one is not yet able to describe with words. And as I look outside to see the bare limbs of grey trees, I wonder when yet the world grew to be so stark. Someone wrote "It is the summer of the Soul in December." How is it that, when the world is at its coldest and most bleak that one's spirits should sing as they can at no other time of year?
I was sitting on my couch listening to "Drifting" from Enya's album Amarantine, reminiscing about stuff and Christmas and Christmas break (*little happy dance*) in December 2009 and wrote this little bit. Hope you enjoy it. :)
